Greasmemonkey User Script addon support for Google chrome browser

Though there were hints about Greasemonkey support for chrome,a official word from Aaron (Creator of Greasemonkey script) about the Greasemonkey script support on Google chrome was raised few days ago.A preview on the future Greasmonkey enabled Chrome, in the form of Chromium limited userscript support is available for download.

Greasemonkey, one of the useful firefox addon supporting various user scripts and does various functions to remove or add any script on a particular web page or website was another important aspect not seen in Chrome browser.Though Google chrome has some Greasemonkey bookmarklets and Greasemetal addon which helps in using userscripts effectively, also there are some converted Greasemonkey Userscripts for Chrome in the form of useful Chrome bookmarklets but this official addition to the chrome browser will surely bring up the market share of Chrome with other browsers and give a chance to large number of developers to create new extensions and plugins for Chrome.

You can still download the Chromium Greasemonkey limited support version from here. After downloading the mini installer or other set up file, finish the installation by appending this line –enable-greasemonkey to Chromium which can be done by right clicking on the shortcut icon –> Properties –> Target field
