There are many programs available that track URLs, usernames, and passwords encrypted by a single password. Make that one password strong, use a program with good encryption, and you have safe passwords that you don’t have to remember.
If you use a PDA or smartphone, or you carry a thumbdrive, you can carry the encrypted data and program with you, provided you choose the program wisely. With the PDA/smartphone route, you’ll want a program with a desktop counterpart so you can copy and paste from your main computer (versus the transciption needed from the PDA/smartphone to the browser on other computers).
this is a nice post, when you use one password for everything you visit on web it means if someone know that password he can access that every place. random passwords are way to go you make a text file and put that random password in it and then encrypt and password protect it here you can have more information i wrote about http://www.techiesouls.com/2008/07/21/make-your-text-files-password-protected-with-locknote/
Normally i use a single password for my accounts. I know it is a bad practice but i cant remember all the random passwords generated by these.
How about Gibson Research’s password generator?
