I was just glancing through my mails and found a mail from a blogote reader on Bookmark plugin I use on this blog.
Hi there
Thanks for the informative blog. I’ve been enjoying your posts thoroughly.
One question:
At the end of your post, your Sociable bookmark tabs are nice and evenly
distributed across the page with clean space between them.
I’ve been trying to get mine to look like that for a while, but nothing seems to
work. I even tried copying the sociable.css template from your site, but still
no luck.
I’m sure it’s something simple. If you can assist, I’d be grateful.
Thanks,
Tim

Unlike some people,Tim tried hard to find out which bookmarking plugin I use but he had no success .Here is a screenshot of how my bookmarks look,(Captured from wordpress premium free themes post)
Doesn’t this Bookmark look good ? yeah!!
The plugin name is popularly known as Sociable but if you try searching in Google you will hardly find this bookmarking sociable plugin on the first page(you will find other sociable plugins with the same name which don’t work properly).
This plugin credit goes to Zyblog and it supports more than 100 social bookmarking services.Woow!!

Instructions to get this plugin installed on your wordpress blog
1. Download Sociable Bookmarking plugin from here
2. Upload the plugin to wp-content/plugin
3. Go to your wordpress admin panel –> plugins and activate Sociable zyblog Edition
4. Go to Settings –> Sociable
(http://YourDOMAIN.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=Sociable)
5. Check any number of social bookmarking sites from the list (see above screenshot) and click on Save changes
Just visit your wordpress blog and see the changes! Pretty simple..

Okay, I finally figured it out. Quite simple really. To edit the spacing between the icons, go to the sociable.css file and look for the section that says:
.sociable li {
background: none;
display: inline;
list-style-type: none;
margin: 0;
padding: 8px;
Then adjust the ‘padding’ value until it suits your site. This value adjusts the spacing between the icons, so if you have only a few but want to make them appear in a bar across the bottom of the post, you’ll put in more padding. Less if you have more bookmark icons.
T.
Thanks for reminding me. I almost forgot to add it after changing the theme. Will do so today.

Hi Sidharth
Thanks for the assistance earlier on! I’ve been fiddling around with Sociable on and off the whole day and come to a few interesting conclusions.
Sociable, as developed by Peter Harkins contains the main functionality needed, but everyone seems to want to tweak it just a little bit to suit their own needs. For this reason, there are actually several versions or flavours of Sociable floating around the web.
I originally installed TimesURL Sociable, not knowing anything about it. It wasn’t quite right so I installed another one, also called Sociable, but this one created/tailored by Joost de Valk. Finally, I wrote you and you told me about the one you are using here that was customised by ‘TimZ’ for Zyblog.
Sadly, the Zyblog one doesn’t seem to work at all on my version (2.5.1) of WordPress. It doesn’t recognise it’s own directory and throws a giant tantrum when you try to run it.
So… back to the drawing board for me. Perhaps I’ll end up writing my own version of the plugin just to keep things nice and confusing. “Stalking Venus Sociable” has kind of a nice ring to it!
Just be sure not to have too many, then your readers won’t know where to submit.
Thats cool

I have tried many social plugins but this one is the best
a pretty great plugin…
