Due to copyrighted Image theft, people use watermarks on their self captured pictures/photographs.Watermarks is a layer of words like your own domain name, our your signature which are on the original image which helps to know the original owner of the image.Once the watermarks are used on the original image and saved then their is no way to erase or remove them.Watermarking images is the only effective way to protect your original images.
You can use softwares like Irfanview or paint to make a simple watermark layer but if you are feel it is cumbersome to use any applications then don’t hesitate to use this wordpress watermark plugin from Marekki.
Marekki’s Watermark Plugin for Wordpress inserts your logo or any text in which are located in wp-uploads folder of your blog directory. You can watermark in two different ways :
- Insert watermark for a image which is uploaded - You can give a transparent background and also setup the font, size, shadow, color and opaque-level without much effort
- Insert watermarks on all chosen pictures from a directory (My gallery) – You can add watermarks in bulk to the specified directory which is located on your web server.
The wordpress watermark plugin is updated and compatible with wordpress 2.5 and higher version too.
