Seems like the plain sailing rules of making money with twitter does work! Here are some of the people who have just managed to make some huge money off twitter by posting sponsored tweets or shopping links.
Twitter is in the offing of monetizing it’s microblogging site very soon but the user @ twitter have already monetized and used this service for their own benefits.
For me, Twitter is a place for networking and having some fun reading updates of the followers. Though, I could make money with twitter but I am kind of satisfied by NOT making any money-benefits out of it.
Anyway, a online internet marketing blogger ‘John chow’ has reported that he tweets sponsored posts on twitter and makes 4 figure income monthly. As quoted by VancouverSun, John chow makes 120$ per tweet which is definitely a good amount of money for posting a 140 character tweet.
That’s not it, even the celebrity twitters have been making money from twitter. Some of them have been making 20,000$ per month which is admirable.
Another indie musician made well over 19,000 dollars in just 10 hours. Don’t pass the buck! Seems like, the twitter money system does work. So, if you have a nice number of followers who might be interested in relevant products then shoot them a tweet and make easy money from this unexplored business

I guess the same could be said about celebs who 'endorse' a certain type of shoe, deoderant or other product. For that matter, the ones who endorse charities should be lumped in together. After all, we can't judge the merit of their actions based on the motive right? We're here to bash their method!
I am sorry for not writing about the methodology and I don't really have plans to push such activity here as the blog focuses more on the tech aspects.
But, you can search for 'Sponsored tweets' or services such as 'Magpie' pay per tweet and other websites. And, if you have a solid reputation and followers with advertiser links then you can contact with them and get fixed price for making a product sale or tweet.
Though I don't recommend these stuffs but just gave you an basic outline on how well it (twitter) has been monetized by twitter users as I've already mentioned in the post.

While I kind of agree with you but that's how things work out in this world for most of the people.
If those guys are making money off twitter then they are likely to show off so that they can promote there new products/ebook on how to make money from twitter
