Google Chrome addon Extension update

February 6, 2009

A report from Mashable confirmed the future existence of extensions (Firefox like addons) for Google chrome web browser.Previously we have seen Google chrome addons, they were simple javascript bookmarklets and the only alternative next to them were the Greasemonkey scripts which was implemented by a lot of people.

From the 2008 September we have seen Chrome developer fixing all kinds of issue, flash player installation bugs and memory leak security loopholes. It is amazing to see 10 million Chrome downloads in a short period of time and after the allowance of addons on chrome, it will be more interesting to track Chrome competition with other browsers! Let’s see if guys over at Google Chrome channel can develop Kick ass extensions :P
