JailBreakME Crashes Safari on iPhone, iPad? Use ModMyi JailbreakMe as an Alternative
Now that we have various Youtube videos on JailBreakME and guide to jailbreak iPhone iOS4 using JailbreakME tool – it looks like the excited iPhone 4 owners are raiding the website and hence you may not be able to jailbreak at the moment.
As you access JailbreakME.com from your Apple iPad or the iPhone Safar browser – it crashes immediately. The Safari browser will update Jailbreak while you are stuck on the Jailbreakme website.
Lurking through forums, I figured out that several reload attempts will help you access jailbreakme (sometimes you have to reload it for more than 5 times).
However, another solution is to visit the mirror site of JailbreakME 2.0 uploaded by the folks at Modmyi. Simply visit http://jailbreakme.modmyi.com/ from your safari browser and follow the JailbreakME guide.

Well I can’t downgrade to4.1 cause no one has put a downgrading website on here!
i had my 3gs jailboken on os 4.0, now updated to 4.0.1
and can’t seem to get it jailbroken any more. it is downloading for a quite a while and then shortly before the progress bar is all blue, it finally crashes. any ideas?
Same issue..except on iPhone 4..broke 4.0 fine, I upgraded to 4.0.1…no breakee…just crashee

I had tough time trying to get jailbreakme running on my iPhone 3gs with iOS 4 (never jailbroken before). everytime i open jailbreakme.com on iphone and slide to jailbreak, safari simply crashes. i tried with modmyi mirror too. i also tried all the other methods like opening the pdf and mailing the same. etc. and cleared safari cache, history. all… nothing worked. ATLAST. i got the solution, simply upgrade the iOS to iOS 4.0.1 and factory reset. then jailbreakme.com worked charm. no issues. and unlock was very quick also appsync for cracked IPA apps. all well now.

i tried to jailbreak my iPhone3gs by Cydia, and this do works, this is a good thing to apple users, although its only a limit one. and for those who want to rip dvd, Aneesoft will give you some insight on this.
