Yeah! It has been quite some time since we made any announcement on our blog statistics. April was kind of an ordinary ongoing month with less interaction and blog posts as it was difficult for me to keep up with offline and online world. Nonetheless, I achieved in writing a few useful posts and managed to have a consistent traffic which was a bit low compared to the previous month though.

It has been a few days of inactivity on blogote.com and blaming the hosting process is the last thing we were looking for. If you are a regular visitor here then you must have noticed the blog was very slow with internal server error for couple of hours. Surprisingly without a second thought we purchased the hosting and decided to move on the brand new server of Media Temple!
I wasn’t able to login to admin panel and the site was very slow, sometimes inaccessible too and maybe this was because of apache that needed to be restarted! Been on shared server I wanted to go with VPS as that would benefit a lot but thanks to Amit bhawani for recommending Media temple service which looks quite promising and strong enough to handle any random traffic spikes!
It would have been tough to move to a different environment without the help of online bloggers such as Amit and Keith. Keith Dsouza who hosted this blog for 6 months on dreamhost fixed the Internal server error and Amit bhawani did the complete blog migration . Let me ping them 
By the way I committed a blunder by deleting misplacing the February month images somewhere and cannot find them in the FTP, so all the images in the feb posts will not be visible. I am still trying to find it as soon as possible! And if you are feeling the change or want to leave your opinion/suggestions on anything then do leave your comments!

This article not only signifies the goal of this blog but also some of my offline goals which I would like to mention through this post.And hopefully this will be the last post for this year or may be not! Anyway the new year 2009 will not have lot of posts as you thought because of the Examination stress and the feeling of being lazy (Procrastinating) are haunting me day and night 
As most of you know I am 18 and Studying Engineering Course which is really stressful and I cannot afford to post any post on a regular basis for the time being.I want to make sure that I am fully prepared for this exam (Commences from Jan 5th and ends on Jan 17th) not due to the fact that I am a wannabe Topper in the class but I will let you know the reason behind this once I score good marks! So moving on,I would make sure the goals put up here are not just achieved but are ACHIEVED HANDSOMELY!
Stop Procrastinating – The Biggest enemy
From the beginning of 2008 I have developed a habit of procrastination (Being lazy and delaying work) and I just promise myself that I will do this and that within this date or set a deadline but I have never completed the task perfectly in my offline as well as online world.So 2009 will be definitely a year where I will let this procrastination go away from me..
Study + Blog = Devote Time
When I was in this Internet domain,I always made small amount of money enough to satisfy myself but it was this blogote which has really made me to earn good money in a short period of time which brings in a grin on my parents face But this blog is not my future career (Not sure) so I have to concentrate on studying and also developing the blog to a certain extent worth recognizable in the blogosphere..
Reach 20,000 Pageviews Per day
A relative growth at 1000 pageviews per month would make 20000 pageviews more possible to achieve.To maintain a steady growth in traffic,the posting frequency should be increased from 1-2 to 3+ and as soon as the exam ends I will stick to this regular posting frequency with no lazy attitude..
1500 Subscribers at the end of 2009
Currently I am not concerned with the subscriber’s rate but still I prefer to reach 1500 subscribers by the 2009 year end.That is like 3 subscriber’s per day .. not hard huh ? 
Make Huge money per month
The income generated from past many years keep on fluctuating most of the time so 2009 will be the year I will be taking a lead to generate steady income and I WILL reach 7 figure yearly income in rupees (25k+ $) 
.. Yea,I will also donate 200+ $ to a charity/organization which helps old people!
Get featured on Local Newspaper
I know this sounds crazy but I always wanted to get featured on a local newspaper not for being a criminal but for being a young blogger in Bangalore making a decent sum of money! This seems difficult but if I make good money and have proof of received check from ad networks then I am sure any local newspaper will feature me in some corner of the paper one day!

It was YOU who made everything possible for me and I must say you people are amazing for giving me consistent support and encouragement.And for those of you who are silently visiting this blog must at least put up a comment here saying “Hi” which will make me happy during this Competitive and Stressful Examination period.. Just found out that I haven’t blogged about the monthly wrap up posts for few months (Infact we did just one post ) So I thought to give readers a insight on our traffic which will bring us some respect in the blogosphere!
After 5 months of steady slow (sounds contradictory? ) blogging and posting less than 200 posts in this long period surely makes you think that I am busy right ? Well NO,I had all the time to blog in my Summer holidays but just wasted that precious time watching movies!
Moving on with the blog stats of september,we almost covered 100000 pageviews for this month!

The steady traffic started to flow due to the new design created by benjacob designer! (Ofcourse due to all the readers,commenters,well wishers and competitors

Blogote was transferred to a local reputated webshoting in the initial stage of september (which was really disappointing) and we were kicked off in the mid september month by the new host with a no refund! Now we are hosted on Dreamhost for free 
Yeah,dreamhost didn’t sponsor us but Keith Dsouza did! Thanks a lot for the support buddy.
As usual Search engine traffic was the main source for the blog which lead to consistent traffic even though posting frequency was less.I am sure this fresh month will see a little rise in traffic as I will try to increase the posting frequency and get those super 
wishes from all the people!!
Wohoo! Finally after a lot of hard work and patience from the designer we got a wordpress custom design! Basically the need for a custom design was to have a unique identity on the web and I am glad as this design made the presence of being Unique on the blogosphere.Here is the redesigned screenshot
The design was entirely hand coded by Ben Jacob and I am glad I had stumbled across this talented designer few months ago.He creates unique wordpress based themes which is worth every penny! I do recommend Ben’s work to people who are looking for a custom wordpress redesign,head over to his blog called FeatherPot to find him!
Talking about the design,I wanted a theme which will have a fat sidebar and include a lot of post in the homepage with thumbnails.The outcome of the results were exactly as expected.The footer is divided into sections for more reference and the logo change was a bit unexpected,still it is different and matched the design I guess.

After two months of blog posting and waiting anxiously for Google pagerank update,Finally blogote got some value! Obviously we started with a zero pagerank but we all know things keep changing.As a fact,We earned ourselves a Pagerank 2 which brings a big smile on our face!
Most of the webmasters consider Google pagerank to have no value but when it comes to private adveritsement (head over to forums) people sell ads for $$ which mainly depends on the pagerank.For example a pagerank 4 blog can expect 10$-20$ per ad banner placed on there blog for one month.
Google toolbar is updated once in 3 months.Though pagerank 2 seems to be nothing for other Big bloggers but we are happy to have atleast something to brag about…

Finally a great June month ended,there was a lot of unexpected traffic which is just because of the pillar articles that got a good response from social sites.Pillar articles are that which make your blog stand out,these are the articles which give the maximum page views and traffic to your blog.June month had a couple of popular pillar articles,some of them are

The article on Finding the secret webpages alone contributed 9000+ unique hits and this is the first full month blogging done on blogote with consistent frequent posting.I had mentioned in my Goals page to get 10000 page views for the month of June but less did I knew that I would be making twice the pageviews in the first month..Here are the traffic stats for the month of June

21,465 – Page views
Overall their were 39 posts and the search engine traffic of 2000+ is a noticeable thing considering the blog age but as this blog got a long journey to make I have to make sure the search engine traffic increases each and every month.WISH ME LUCK
