Right click on the “kies20mac_s9218.pkg”, then open it with “The Unarchiver.”
You will notice “kies20mac_s9218? file name. Open this file.
Right click on the “contents.pkg”, and click “Show Package Contents.”
Double click “Payload.” This will create a new folder named “Payload 2 2.”
Double click on Payload 2 2.
Double click “Applications”, then you will notice a new Kies icon.
Drag Kies to the application folder.
That’s it! You have successfully installed Samsung Kies on your Mac computer — works on iMac, MacBook Pro and Air. Next time when you open Kies on OS X Mountain Lion, it will not only work flawlessly but also messages like “Connecting” will disappear when you connect your Android phone to Mac.
On the other hand, let’s just hope Samsung will update Kies to a whole new version that is compatible with the latest version of Mac OS X. When will they do that? Only time will tell.
