Amazon is treating the US users with its new service, Amazon Prime, which offers quality streaming of TV shows and movies.

The service rolled out as “Amazon Prime” this morning has great offerings. Subscribers of this service are graced with channels like “TV shows” and “movies.” As of now, there are over 5000 videos available at Amazon Prime and, undoubtedly, there is a lot more to come.

Once you are subscribed to Amazon Prime, you can stream videos through PC, cell phone, and through your set-top box as well. However, the service is restricted to only US citizens, which means, the rest of the world has to wait.

By launching the Amazon Prime, Amazon is clearly declaring a war against its competitor like Netflix. Not only is the cost of Amazon prime cheaper, but, as Engadget points out, the quality of video streaming is much better than Netflix.
