This high-end smartphone will go for $199 with a two-year contract, and the pre-sales will be available in the stores starting August 12, although you can get it a day before by ordering it online as online pre-sales kicks off from August 11. That’s tomorrow!
After the success of Droid Phones, the Droid 2 is all set to facilitate the growth of Android OS by offering 3.7-inch touch-screen display, 8GB storage with expandable storage, a slide-out QWERTY keypad along with five megapixel camera. Plus, the android 2.2. Froyo and the Flash player 10.1 comes on board with Droid 2.
To buy Droid 2 without the 2 year contract, you’ve to shell out $599. And one thing is for sure: droid 2 — committed towards Android OS growth — is bound to capture the attention but the initial reaction is the base for its success when the smartphone hits the street this week.
