Google docs – Google docs now supports viewing of docx extension. Check out http://blogote.com/2009/ideas/opening-docx-files-easily.html and you can convert to doc file easily.
Online service – If you want to open docx file, check out http://www.viewdocsonline.com/ (even Google docs can do this)

I tried ZAMZAR but I didn’t receive any mail nor the file I was trying to convert.
dont use this site its a foolish converter dont trust it.
I’ve found docx.oconvert.com it’s similar to zamzar but doesn’t requires any email.
This is just for fooling people!!
