Apple has officially rolled out the download of iTunes 9.2.1 which fixes several bugs and also comes with new features.

As you download the latest iTunes 9.2.1, you will notice some of the older plugins will be disabled automatically. Although there will be no details on the particular incompatible plugin that is disabled on the iTunes 9.2.1. Apart from this, there is a performance improvement and minor bug fix in this latest update.

Jailbroken iPod/iPhone owner’s need not update to the latest iTunes. I’d always prefer the use of older iTunes version for Jailbreaking purpose.

Update: Already jailbroken device can download iTunes 9.2.1 and use it on their machine. But update only if you have used redsn0w/PwnageTool to jailbreak. Fresh Spirit jailbroken devices should avoid updating itunes. Hope that’s clears!
