Yeah! It has been quite some time since we made any announcement on our blog statistics. April was kind of an ordinary ongoing month with less interaction and blog posts as it was difficult for me to keep up with offline and online world. Nonetheless, I achieved in writing a few useful posts and managed to have a consistent traffic which was a bit low compared to the previous month though.
The process of writing these blog statistics posts is to motivate myself, aware the readers about the growth of the blog and to achieve the goals I had set for 2009 year. Continue reading…
If you own a blog and curious to know more about your visitors then you can install any chat widget like Shoutmix.The only disadvantage of these chat widgets is that they are publicly seen,So another way to chat privately with the visitors for your blog is to use Woopra desktop application which is one among the best analytic blog tool for live online chat with your blog visitors.
Google have planned to remove the adsense referral system from their network,adsense being one of the finest contextual ad network system around had a nice referral program which is going to end during the last week of August!
Anuj Srivastava – AdSense Product Marketing guy wrote officially on the adsense blog that the system is going to retire within August month and requests everyone to do the following two steps before the last week of August.
1) Remove the referral code from your site(s): Please take a moment to remove all referral code from your sites before the last week of August, so you can continue to effectively monetize your ad space.
2) Run and save all referrals reports on your desktop: Create and save all reports related to the referrals program on your desktop, so you continue to have access to your valuable campaign information.
Though Google has discarded the adsense referrals they have brought in a Affiliate network and stated this regarding the program
Google Affiliate Network: As part of the integration of DoubleClick, the DoubleClick Performics Affiliate Network will now operate as the Google Affiliate Network for advertisers targeting users located in the United States. Similar to the AdSense Referrals program, the Google Affiliate Network enables publishers to apply for advertiser programs and get paid based on advertiser-defined actions instead of clicks or impressions.
Currently Google Affiliate Network offers :
* Industry-leading advertiser and publisher service
* Rigorous network quality standards
* Reliable conversion tracking
* Detailed reporting
* Automated payments to publishers
* Simple link and creative delivery tools
* Flexible commissions
* Access to top brands on the web
Their was a mixed response for the Adsense referral retirement plan,some people who referred others were frustrated and some were happy as those referrals didn’t help them,but the new Google Affiliate network was the main thing which made them happy (Also third party ads ).The removal of Google referrals ad button doesn’t make any difference to me because I never used those but I am looking forward for the affiliate network program.
Thanks to Arprit and Google blog
I was just glancing through my mails and found a mail from a blogote reader on Bookmark plugin I use on this blog.
Hi there
Thanks for the informative blog. I’ve been enjoying your posts thoroughly.
One question:
At the end of your post, your Sociable bookmark tabs are nice and evenly
distributed across the page with clean space between them.
I’ve been trying to get mine to look like that for a while, but nothing seems to
work. I even tried copying the sociable.css template from your site, but still
no luck.
I’m sure it’s something simple. If you can assist, I’d be grateful.
Thanks,
Tim
