Firefox has functionality of addons whereas Opera browser has widget support which makes it a competitive browser in the web market.Though not everyone uses Opera but for those of you who are browsing the web using Opera,here is a widget which checks for updates and displays if your current opera version is updated or not i.e, Opera Update Checker is a simple tool to check Opera latest version!
Though the widget addon seems to be useless because whenever you open Opera,it automatically checks for update and upgrades the browser only if there are any available updates.But for some of you who doesn’t close the Opera web browser for days together (Yes,I know some of them
) can have benefit by using this update checker widget!
Opera has launched a update to upgrade all opera 9.5 or 9.6 version which I downloaded recently.After upgrading latest Opera browser (Opera 9.6.1 beta download) I hopped over at Opera Skin community and found out a nice looking Cloned Safari browser opera skin.
This Safari theme resembles the Apple Mac Safari browser and is one of the neat Opera Skin I have been using for a while now.It has a animated loading icon and small good looking RSS and folder icons.So far I keep switching inbetween the Safari skin and Chrome Opera skin.The theme is not a native Mac skin, (For Windows, Mac AND Linux) but can be downloaded on your opera browser.Works with Opera 9.5 and Opera 9.6 Version
Download Safari Opera Skin from here

Thanks to Google chrome,webkit browsers are being released almost every week and one such browser for Mac OS X available for download is Stainless browser.Inspired by Google chrome,Stainless browser has features resembling Google’s chrome! We know that the initial development of Chrome for Mac is underway,Mac users will find Stainless browser useful as the features of this browser are similar to Chrome (lets say Chrome clone
)
Just like Chrome,the Stainless browser uses up memory for each tab and has the feature to kill pages/tabs which consumes more memory or stops responding i.e, each tabs opened in Stainless browser runs in a separate process.
Here are some of the features of stainless Mac OSX browser
- Multi processing browse
- Easy tab dragging between windows
- Single bar to search and type url
- Private browsing mode
Currently Stainless is available for Mac OS X leopard users and is free to download.Many new features of managing bookmarks and downloads will be added in the later updates!
