Well getting listed in Google is not tough until you are using legit methods and a legit web site/blog which is active. It doesn’t take much time for your blog to get indexed by their spider.

I have written just 15 posts in 1 month but still google index my blog faster.

Here are simple steps which you can follow to get your blog indexed faster from major search engine spider:

1. Find ideas/keywords – You can use Seotool or Digital point keyword tool to find a particular keyword.

2. Search those ideas/keywords – Research on this keyword in Google.

Rockstar Note – When you are researching the keyword, use exact phrase in quotes. Example: Search “keyword” not Keyword.

3. See the number of results – Make sure the “keywords” are not more than 5000, if they are then go back to the seo keyword tool and find another keyword with less number of searches.Because starting to compete with small keywords is better than competing with a specific keyword.

The above steps are for blog posting ideas, after following (optional) them you can get listed faster in this way.

4. Submit to social web sites – I prefer you to submit to Digg or Stumbleupon. If you have time then submit to propeller, Slashdot, Sphinn…

5.  Link building – Have a proper format for the blog post. Give external/internal reference when ever required but the main thing is that your content must be unique with generic keywords which must concentrate on readeability too.

6. Ping your blog – Once in a while you can ping your blog to ping o matic, ping goat. Or ping my blog.

7.Spread it – Say to your friends/followers about the new post you made in twitter, social networking sites, ask them to comment or whatever you want but make sure  you don’t force them or spam. That won’t help you!

8. Get a backlink – Create a squidoo page or a blogger account and write a good article which must refer to your blog post/blog. This method consumes time but it would help a lot.You can make use of guest posting to gain a backlink or comment on a dofollow blog.

9. Build a community – This will help you create a good bond with other blog owners who will be a source of traffic, for making a good blogging community read this.

10. Frequent posting – Posting once in weeks won’t help you get indexed easier until you have high quality content. Make sure you post something everyday which is useful to you and the readers. This plays a main role in getting indexed faster.

1. Choosing domains names – Domains do play a role in SEO, many search engine tend to index the old domain blogs faster than the new one (The ranking too). So try to get an old domain from any website like your main domain or get the list of expired domain names. But if you are aware of your potential in SEO or if you don’t find a good domain then prefer buying a new one.

2. Researching Keywords – Choosing keywords can be a confusing,you can use tools like Seo tools to find out the keyword. The keyword should not be specific like “WordPress” instead it must be like “WordPress tips” “WordPress blogging tricks”or something like that. You can also use Digital Point Keyword tool for more ideas.

3. Deleting spammy Pinbacks/Trackbacks – In today’s blogging their are two people, one who writes original content and one who spams them. I saw one blog which allowed spam trackbacks. It is better to delete them as they can harm your Search engine rank and why do you keep them!

4. Don’t Over optimize – Don’t try to insert your main keyword in every post thinking that it will help for a better ranking. Absolutely not! This will look like a spammy blog, use generic words. What’s generic?

For example, if you have a blog about Making money then don’t use/abuse the word by using Making money in every article.Instead write like this “Make real money”,”Making real money online”,”Money making ideas“. I hope you got my point!

5. Quality backlinks – This is the toughest and time confusing part in the Seo world. To get backlinks people spam social network/websites which is a wrong approach.Just write guest posts and produce quality readable content with creative ideas to get a backlink. You can also submit to paid directories which have high page rank.Also commenting on a dofollow blog will get you some backlinks

6. Simple design - A good error free fast loading design can help you get more viewers which in turn boosts your ranking in the search engine. Don’t use too many resources/plugins!

7. Use proper permalinks – Using permalinks for a post is a must for a blog.You can set custom permalinks like this /%category%/%postname%.html which will  help your blog post to be indexed easier and come to the top search engine result page.If you have a website then change the folder/file to proper keywords.

8. Adding Sitemap – Sitemap is meant for both readers and the search engine.You can use Xml Sitemap Generator for your site or use wordpress plugin for a xml sitemap or a true sitemap generator for your readers.

You don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas.
