Before you go berserk and blame YouTube for not playing high quality videos over 3G connection, here is the tip just for you. This simple tip will quash your frustration with YouTube and also put an end to your low-quality videos saga.

When you are watching videos over 3G network, YouTube app automatically reduces the quality of the video to save your precious bandwidth. So how do you bypass this restriction and watch HQ videos on your iPhone?

Disabling the YouTube app will do the trick!

It’s that simple. When you turn off your YouTube app, the web version of YouTube will enroll itself as the default video player and you are free to view videos in HQ.

To disable the YouTube app on your iPhone, follow this path:

Settings -> General> Restrictions -> Enable restrictions. Then turn off the YouTube option.

Note: This tip applies to iPhone users who are playing YouTube videos over 3G connection. You’ll get high quality videos by default if you are connected to Wi-Fi.

Delivering a presentation on a certain topic is an enthralling experience. A lively presentation can drive confidence in you. On the flip side, a presentation slide slapped with unformatted text taken right out of the textbook can shake your confidence, and, if unprepared, probably send you adrift in the sea of embarrassment.

For effective presentation, you should not only show a rush of enthusiasm but also plan carefully. A blend of tidy text that is both concise and clear to understand along with compelling videos is the recipe for a good presentation.

Probably you don’t know how to add videos into your presentation, but you don’t have to worry — it’s easy. Before we begin this tutorial, you should have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your Mac or Windows. The version of PowerPoint doesn’t matter, though it’s good to have the latest version installed on your machine.

Ways to Insert Videos into Presentation

There are several ways to add video clippings into a presentation slide. But one things you should ask yourself before you proceed further: whether the place of your presentation has access to the Internet?

If your answer is yes, then inserting video — not just YouTube but any video or webpage available on the Internet — can be achieved easily. All you have to do is include a hyperlink to the video in your presentation slide.

For example, if you want to add this video into your presentation, launch Microsoft PowerPoint. Select the text, then right-click and choose Hyperlink.

In the next window, you’ll add the URL of the video. The text now points to the video. You can also hyperlink image using the same process.

This is one of the easiest way to link a video, but note that clicking on the hyperlink will open the default browser. Also, video will play only if there’s an Internet connection — which was made clear earlier.

What if you don’t have access to the Internet? Follow this guide:

Use Movie Browser to Add iTunes and iMovie Videos into Your Presentation

Another easy way to add videos already available in your iMovie, Photo Booth, and iTunes Library is to use Movie Browser. This option is available under the Insert menu in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Go to Insert, click on Movie -> Movie Browser. From the browser, select the video, drag it into the presentation slide. Save the presentation. That’s it!

Add YouTube Videos in Presentation

There’s an option to add a Movie From File option under the Insert menu. This option, when clicked, pops up a window leaving the rest to you to select the video you’d like to embed in your presentation.

But that’s not exactly what you need. You want to embed the whole YouTube video into the presentation, something like this:

Video demo: Embedded Video Clip in PowerPoint Presentation

So how you do pull off such a trick when you want to add YouTube video? It’s easy. You have to download YouTube videos on your machine. Then, if required, convert the clip into a PowerPoint-supported video format.

There are several ways to save YouTube videos. Mac users can switch to this guide while Windows user can always use tools like YouTube HD Downloader.

Related: When YouTube Video Freezes…

For instance, Mac users can use MPEG Streamclip to download and convert videos, then add them into the presentation using the Movie Browser. Or, if you don’t want to install any application, Clipnapper and Keepvid can help you download YouTube videos off the Internet and shove them into the presentation.

If your Safari browser crashes, or an error is thrown right at you as you grind on endlessly to watch YouTube videos, then it’s time to update your Mac’s Adobe Flash Player.

The issue is not with OS X Lion but Safari browser and Adobe Flash Player. Strangely, even if the Adobe Flash player installed on your Mac OS X Lion is up-to-date, the browser crashes sometimes.

How to Fix Flash Player Crashing on Mac OS

The latest version of Adobe Flash Player has been rolled out recently. Apparently, updating to 10.3 Flash Player should clear the error you encounter while watching YouTube videos.

You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video

Read this post on how to update Adobe Flash Player on your Mac.

Fix issues with Safari and Adobe Flash Player

Another solution is to download the Release Candidate version of Adobe Flash Player. Do this especially if Safari browser crashes when you load Flash-based objects.

The Adobe Flash Player 11 is available as a Release Candidate, which means the product is close to a final version, and can be downloaded from here.

You have to uninstall Adobe Flash Player and then setup the Flash Player 11.

Make sure that when you are installing the Adobe Flash Player on your Mac, everything related to Flash, including browsers, are closed. Once the installation is successful, relaunch Safari browser and enjoy the seamless browsing experience.

So you have finally decided to get your hands dirty. That’s okay — who doesn’t like shortcuts?

As many of you already know, Angry Birds has landed on the web this week. For those who are interested to know, Rovio resurrected this web-based Angry Birds by using Google Web Toolkit, which is available as an open source set of tools to create applications in Java.

As the game is in “beta,” anyone can fling the birds and take out their revenge against the green pigs free of charge — although there is an ongoing hiccup with the Mac OS and Chrome browser.

Now, on to the best part: How to unlock the levels of Angry Birds?

Lets say you can’t get past through a level, which is a rarity, but not to worry: this little hack should unlock every level of Angry Birds on your browser.

To unlock the levels, fire up your browser, visit the Angry Birds page, and paste this JavaScript code on your address bar:

javascript: var i = 0; while (i< =69) { localStorage.setItem('level_star_'+i,'3'); i++; } window.location.reload();

You can also lock the levels by pasting this code into the browser’s address bar:

javascript: var i = 1; while (i< =69) { localStorage.setItem('level_star_'+i,'-1'); i++; } window.location.reload();

Alright, you have only one iTunes account, right? Fair enough. However, there are many reasons why one would go about having two or more iTunes account.

Why do you need two iTunes account?

Firstly, non-US residents may be aware of the fact that some of the apps/movies are only available in the US AppStore. So, in order to download/buy these apps, one should have an American iTunes account.

Also, whenever an app update is released, for people with multiple accounts, there is a need to switch over to the other iTunes account to be able to download and sync updates with your Apple device. In order to eliminate the hectic task of switching accounts manually, Bastian has come up with a simple yet extremely useful script called “TuneSwitch.”

Use TuneSwitch For Switching iTunes Account

TuneSwitch does exactly what you need: switch between multiple iTunes account. It creates a keychain entry for maintaing your iTunes account. To switch between accounts, you have to perform a one-time action of entering your iTunes username and password, and TuneSwitch will store the entries locally.

Whenever you want to switch over to the other account, simply select the account name and click “OK.” Neat!

After the launch of the new Chatroulette design, the website has significantly dwindled the number of men pointing out their guns at you. I am not sure how the sites’ backend operates, but it is a known fact that chatroulette is working hard on keeping the site “clean.”

Similar to other webcam anonymous chatting sites, the recent changes in the Chatroulette system directs certain number of users to the “Access Denied” page, which is rather annoying and another way of Chatroulette to let you know that you have been blocked from the site. I was a victim of this, and I am absolutely sure I was fully dressed, although shoddily I admit.

Chatroulette blocked? Bypass the Access Denied Message

Here are a few ways through which you can bypass the Access Denied message on the Chatroulette website, and safely use your webcam again. Actually, the message conveys an important note that you should know:

Access denied

Your system failed to identify with Chatroulette. If this is a mistake, try disabling your firewall.

Please write to accessdenied@chatroulette.com if this issue persists.

Read: Start a Private Video Chat.

So: drop a message to the Chatroulette e-mail ID requesting access to the website. That’s the first solution to unblock the access denied message on the Chatroulette. This usually works because your IP has been probably reported, and Chatroulette will unblock your IP.

Also, try disabling your firewall. In other words, make sure to enable the firewall. Reload the website and see if that helps.

Nothing works?

I bet the above solution should fix your connection. However, when I was banned from the Chatroulette chat, I walked away from the PC for about an hour—yes, I was depressed over the ban. When I was back, I switched on my PC, typed in the website name in the address bar, Chatroulette.com, and bam! The site was working!

Silly I know, but I believe it was just a temporary ban.

I am sure most of you have been pounded by such scam invitation in the past, and it seems like there is no end of this ball game. Each and every day, especially the college students, fall victim to the “free mobile recharge” invitation on the Facebook.

First, it was Orkut and now they are targeting the Facebook. While I can’t present you with any statistical data, but in India the rechargeable prepaid mobile phone cards are very popular — and these kind of free recharge scams are acknowledge and favored by many folks.

Also, the competition among scammers has seen a rapid growth ever since the trick seems to work out to their benefits. Perhaps the trick here is make money out of your private data, or hack your profile and mass spam your friends.

Here is a screenshot of one of my friend who is yet to find out what’s going on with his profile:

So, letting those unknown apps to rule your Facebook profile is tomfoolery — and that’s just one of the several consequences you could put yourself into. If you are still hunting for the free mobile recharge formula on Facebook, then sorry to say, there is no friggin’ way to do it for free.

Moreover, your personal information is handed over to scrupulous scammers who take advantage of your data. So, to make sure that these scammers cannot fete upon your personal information, never link your Facebook account to the apps you are not familiar with, and frequently check the Apps page to remove and delete the apps that you don’t use it anymore.

Quite a good number of videos on the internet are supporting “dual-audio” these days. This means, the videos are equipped with two audio files—you have the option to switch between these different audio files (read: languages) and playback the video.

So how do you play videos that has the dual-audio support? If you are not able to change the audio file then the answer is simple: change the media player. Usually, dual-audio’s are linked with the .AVI and .MKV files. Both of these video formats are playable on any of the popular media players.

Just in case, if you want to use one audio file with the video permanently, i.e., you want to convert MKV dual-audio to single file, then check out MKVToolnix – a free tool available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS. Simply load the audio along with the video file into this software and let the software take care of the rest.

A much more simpler method is to try out some of the best media player like VLC Player, MPlayer and Media Player Classic for Windows. These media player comes with an inbuilt choice to choose the audio track. So, all you have to do is to download any of the above mentioned media player (I’d recommend downloading the VLC Player)—load the video—and switch between the available audio files.

Remember those sites where you have to buy bids and then bid for an items for standing a chance to win iPhone 4? Or maybe Nintendo Wii? Such penny auction sites have seen a solid growth in the last couple of months.

One reason why consumers love such sites is because of the fact that you don’t have to invest a lot of money in this. Just buy bids pack(credits), ranging from $1 to $100, and then bid on the item. If no one bids after you, then you’ve won yourself a bargain.

Online Penny Auction Sites Are Scam and Fake?

There are plenty of penny bidding auction sites looking out for bidders. Not all of them are intended to scam the members, but a majority of them have been reported as fake. I know, it’s hard to digest the fact, but it is what it is.

Complaints are filling in as such online auction sites, 1 cent auction sites have automated bidding system. While there’s no way to find out, but as the countdown timer is about to hit the zero mark — almost all the new bidding sites have a slew of users bidding. That, of course, is not possible for new sites that are yet to be indexed on search engine.

You lose your money with every bid, and then you buy more credits from the website. Eventually, the site profits good chuck of money and when the have bag full of moolahs, they may pick a bidder as the winner and gift wrap the gadget.

That’s how it works, I believe. Like I said there’s no way to find out about the auto bidding tool, unless you work for them. But with tons of complaints lodged all over the web, it is evident that these auction sites rarely work in your favor.

If you are still feeling lucky, then give it a go. Explore those genuine auction sites and see if it works out for you or your friends, but limit yourself to couple of bids and don’t overdo it.
