That’s right, it has pretty limited uses. So I would recommend PDFfiller.com which is allows add text, add new fields, sign, fax and email forms.
PDF Hammer has pretty limited uses (reorder pages, delete a page, etc).
There is another free online PDF editor that can do just about all that and a lot more (fill out forms, add text, create hyperlinks, new form fields, etc):
