March 22nd was an important date to remember.
It was when dozens of bloggers and journalists showed up to attend the Vivo event held in Mumbai.
Make no mistake, most of us knew about the launch. We knew Vivo is going to announce Vivo V9 as its flagship smartphone.
But what we didn’t knew was its impact in the market. And now, with the launch, we believe we have a clear picture.
Featuring a 6.3-inch screen, Vivo V9 is a bezel-less phone. At a first glance, it looks incredible. Perhaps because of the full view display device with a notch as you can see from the image below:
But it isn’t just the design that stands out.
Vivo is giving special importance to its selfie camera. And this camera comes with AI integration. It uses your behaviour to learn more about you.
The camera in the front takes selfies at 24 MP. From our quick use, the selfies captured were exceptional.
Plus, there is also something called Face Access 2.0. Here, not only can you unlock the device with your face but also unlock apps.
On the back, V9 has a dual camera, with 16 MP and 5 MP sensor. The 5 MP is designed to support bokeh mode – meaning the focus on a particular subject is intensified.
Hardware-wise, Vivo V9 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.
Lastly, talking about connectivity, the device comes with microUSB port, OTG, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2 and headphone jack. Nothing is missing here.
And the operating system used is Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0.
Available for Rs. 22990, Vivo V9 is available in gold and black color.
Starting April 2nd, one can purchase the device through Amazon India. Plus, there are additional benefits of buying the device early:
