Facebook Video Embed Code For Adding Facebook Videos on Website

By Sidharth | Ideas

Embedding videos from Youtube onto your website is easier because of the html codes. However, Facebook, as an social networking website doesn’t publicly allow you to pick the html codes..therefore adding facebook videos onto your wordpress or blogspot blog can leave you scratching around for a while.

Embedding facebook video on your website or social profile isn’t an audacious task though, in fact, following the steps mentioned here can make embedding videos from Facebook pretty much hassle-free (only if the video is not protected).

How to Embed Facebook Videos on Website

Once you’ve found the interesting video link on Facebook and you’re eager to display it on your blog or MySpace, or any social profile then just copy the video ID from the address bar url link and paste it onto the notepad.

For example, here is an interesting video from Facebook and I would want to embed it here on this blog, then the video ID is 214782633078.

If you are confused with the numbers in the address bar url then just remember that the numbers (12 digit) appended right after this url facebook.com/video/video.php?v= is the video id.

Once you have the video id, it is very easier to embed the video on your profile or website. Thanks to shoutpedia, here is the video code..

<object width="400" height="224" > <param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.facebook.com/v/xxx" /> <embed src="http://www.facebook.com/v/xxx" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="400" height="224"> </embed> </object>

Now you need to replace xxx with the video ID (in line 3 and 4). You can also change the width and height (line 1). Add the code in html source in your blog or profile to delight your people 😉

Oh, here is the Facebook video that is quite impressive.. check it out.
