Buy Notion Ink Adam Tablet [Second Preorder E-mail]

Just received an e-mail invite from Notion Ink to buy the Adam tablet. Yes, the second preorder of the Adam tablet is out — this is something to party, right?

A lot of invite e-mails to buy the Notion Ink Adam tablet are on their way as we speak, and it seems like the company has blasted e-mail to everyone who has commented on their blog. If you have commented on the Notion Ink blog before, you’ll be receiving an e-mail that directs you to the tablets’ purchase link.

Apart from the news that the next round of ordering Adam tablet has kicked off, Rohan Shravan also mentions that the tablet will be migrating directly to Honeycomb in the future. Also, since the Android market is for phones, Adam tablet will not have any access to the Android marketplace.

Are you buying the Adam tablet?

Will I buy the Adam tablet? As I don’t really need a tablet, I am just bidding my time… waiting for the right product — or the Adam 2 — to crop up in the market.

When the tablets’ unboxing pics and reviews were out, there was a debate if this tablet can emerge as the true competitor in the tablet industry. Mixed reviews poured in after the first preorder, and it is said that the majority of the cons will be fixed by pushing an update of the Eden UI.

Talking about the payment, apart from the additional global shipping rate of $50, Indian users need to pay custom duty tax on their Adam tablet. As pointed out by a commentator on the NI blog, buyers get ready to shell out around Rs. 1600 ($35) as an octroi.
