Jailbreak Dream Team has finally released the updated version of Absinthe, allowing iOS users to jailbreak their iOS devices running 5.1.1 firmware.
Those who have been following the jailbreak scene, especially the iPhone 4S users, the Absinthe 2.0 is finally here. The tool jailbreaks any iOS 5.1.1 device in a matter of seconds. It was a long wait, but certainly a worthy one!
Before you begin downloading and applying Absinthe 2.0 jailbreak on your iOS device, it is always recommended to backup your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad data via iTunes or iCloud. If anything goes wrong, you can always restore your device at a later point of time.

Devices that can be jailbroken using Absinthe 2.0: Apple iPhone 3GS/4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 3rd, 4th generation. All the Apple iPad 1/2, the New iPad can be jailbroken, except the iPad 2 (known as 2,4) version.
The instructions to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 untethered is similar to what we have seen earlier — setup Absinthe, launch the tool, connect your iOS device to your computer and hit the jailbreak button. This should take about 5 minutes for jailbreaking the device.
