The PlayStation Phone Gets Real [Zeus Z1]

There has been a lot of hype over the past few months where skeptics have rubbished off the forthcoming launch of the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Mobile Phone. When pictures of the phone first started surfacing, it brought along with it many reviews that claimed it to be fakes and more.

However, not long now, all new videos proving the authenticity of the phone has been released. The PlayStation phone, alternatively codenamed Zeus and Z1 has shown that it can certainly stir up events sooner and later.

The recent leaked images and videos of the Z1 show that it is a comparatively thicker device than we usually know. This could be due to the fact that the phone may be designed to support a faster processor to support PS applications. Fixed with a slider, it has the same features that a DualShock 2 controller has apart from the L1, L2, R1 and R2 triggers. It seems to have a 3.7 to 4.1 inch touch screen that does not look resistive.

The slider of the Playstation Phone has its own multitouch pad that should double up as a mouse for browsing the web. For now, the Z1 has put skeptics in their place but questions still remain as to what the software and hardware of the phone are capable of delivering. While it may seem that graphics will nowhere close to the Sony PSP system, we have always known SCE to surprise us at the last minute.

There has been no definite date on the release of the Zeus Z1 phone but logistics tell us that it can only be released after the next Google OS hits the stands.
