It came, it saw and it conquered. Google Chrome has been said as the most potential browser, though it has been criticized for lack of support of plugins or so called addons. We all like Firefox browser cause it has AdBlock, Gmail This, Stumble and what not! However, you can still get these firefox addon/extension type features on Chrome browser by using some smart bookmarklets, so-called Google chrome addons.
The list will be regularly updated so do subscribe for latest updates of this post
Google chrome is a brower with no addon compatibility feature, these bookmarklets will help you have some additional benefits which will be useful to some of them out their.Just make sure you have the bookmark bar enabled on new tabs.Click ctrl+b on your chrome browser and you will have a static bookmarking bar whenever a new tab is opened!
To use this bookmarklet, click on the hyperlink and drag them on to the Chrome Bookmark bar.
Disable/block Ads on webpage (Adblock for chrome)
Adblock+ Just drag and drop this link/bookmarklet on your bookmarks bar.Ad block removes “java, flash, background music, and third-party iframes.” Thus it does a handy job of blocking the ads on a webpage. Who says only firefox addon block ads ? Chrome too has a Adblock type addon now!
Stumble using Chrome
Stumble it - Add this link and click on it whenever you want to Stumble a page you liked. I like this bookmarklet better than the toolbar as it gives me more space.Another way of stumbling a webpage can be found here.
“Gmail This!” bookmarklet
Gmail This – Another very useful feature to mail any page using Gmail. For Google Apps Mail, try this(you will need to replace “yourdomain.com” with your own domain name).
Convert plain text URL’s into hyperlinks
Linkify - This is a cool addon bookmarklet to convert all plain text URL’s into hyperlinks on a webpage.
Social Bookmarking submission
Socialize – Submit a blog post from Google chrome to more than 50 social bookmarking website with a few clicks.
All in one video downloader
Video downloader – Remember the firefox addon which lets you download videos from youtube abd google videos ? Why not do the same with Google chrome browser! This code will let you download from Youtube and many other video sharing website.

Google translation Chromelet

I heard ages ago that Google Chrome was supposed to support Firefox's plugins somehow.
I guess it was just a rumour now reading your post.
Such a shame, I believe that Firefox's popularity came into many groups of people by plugins such as firebug.
I, as a web designer, can't really use anything else than firefox because of the many plugins they have that I use every day, just wish there was a solution.
I found the Purifyr bookmarklet from Purifyr.com is truly fantastic. It literally makes reading on web enjoyable again. It takes any web page and turn it into a crisp, clean, printer-friendly page.
It's much better than adblock since it won't leave any empty spaces on the web page.
I'll come back to Internet Explorer because I can't use Google toolbar… Can you believe it? for god sake, I want to keep using the hover translation feature !!!!!!
Sorry, the adblock extension sux, it doesn't block ads on facebook, and it disables THIS comment textbox. If I have to click a bookmark every time I want to block the ads, I'm going back to firefox (you can even block ads in IE7 & 8 without having to click a bookmark)
Type your comment here.
ok, i'm tryin to install the video downloader but it isn't workin ! some advice will be appreciated .
Awesome stuff. I plan to use some of these.
aaagh i just used it on facebook and instead of blocking the ads (still there) it blocked my scrabble game!
help, how do i turn it off????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Google chrome is flexible,i switch over to chrome.
Ok, I got it, dumb me
Can’t open any javascript link (chromium 3.0.191, java 1.6.0.14, win 7rc x64)
“Gmail This!” bookmarklet appears to be broken. Unterminated javascript window.open() call. Doesn’t work.
(Viewing w/Chrome 2.0.)
John.
nice collection dude !
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! this is really GREAT!!!
How do I use the video downloader? I go to a youtube page and I click the bookmark… nothing happens. All the other ones work… Please help.
Is there a way perhaps to make the Adblock+ script run automatically when a page loads? That would make it much-much better, almost entirely acceptable for me.
Hm, this is still a far cry from “AdBlock Plus” on Firefox. Pitty
In fact, the lack of a proper Ad-blocking solution is the onlz thing that still keeps me from using Chrome as my preferred browser.
(it could even show text-ads, if that would make Google happier
An addendum to my last comment: export your foxmark bookmarks to a local html file and then import them into google chrome, this is the best method until Foxmarks develops the new add on for Chrome.
If you add folders to your Bookmarks Bar and give the folders unique names that identify the type of bookmarks, (I made several folders named My Email Accts, My Web Apps, Most Popular Blogs, etc, and added all the appropriate bookmarks to each folder, they show on the top bar (you can move the folders in the order you want them to show) and act just like a drop down bar, which works like a charm for me! Just thought I would share that. I also have a folder named Add Ons, which most of these are included, and viola, instant access and still lots of room on the bar left to use.
i havent added this yet but it looks nice && i think i will
I like chrome but I hate not having a firefox plugin that I love. It’s called reminderfox. It’s pretty much the reason I still use firefox.
thanks! it’s very useful for me ^^
nice!!! much appreciated!!
good job!
you guys ROCK !!
keep up the great work !!!
well, it doesn’t work as well as in FF for me. the adblock is much better in ff for example. I think i’ll wait for True addons from Google
add a google bookmark of the current page (like gmarks)
javascript:(function(){var a=window,b=document,c=encodeURIComponent,d=a.open(“http://www.google.com/bookmarks/mark?op=edit&output=popup&bkmk=”+c(b.location)+”&title=”+c(b.title),”bkmk_popup”,”left=”+((a.screenX||a.screenLeft)+10)+”,top=”+((a.screenY||a.screenTop)+10)+”,height=420px,width=550px,resizable=1,alwaysRaised=1″);a.setTimeout(function(){d.focus()},300)})();

i love how i got the adblock thing, used it, and the country kitchen ad didn’t go away… or does this one actually work when you GO TO a page?
nice..
I guess I’ll try to like google chrome again..
before, I start to use other browser other than chrome because of its emptyness..but now, seems like its become better and better..
Ok I put the bookmarklets on the bar, and it looks just like in the picture (where it says “Chrome is (almost) complete now”)
What is the next step?? Take google toolbar for example. In order to search I have to click on the ‘google search’ bookmark, and a searchbox pops up for me to type the search.
In firefox, using the true google toolbar, you can just type the search in the box..
Google toolbar was not available for chrome browser, the toolbar has a smart pagerank system, drag this bookmarklet and click on it whenever you want to check the pagerank of any website or blog.
here to find google chrome skin

Not bad, adding some features plus is always good.
I hope to see all best firefox plugin on chrome once they(Google) add support for third-party plugins and addons.
gmail this chromelet does not work….what is preventing this from working… is there a fix?
I think its great that people can make these but there is no way I will have Chrome back on my computer. Never have I had a bit of software that felt so out of my control before. I felt it was just one big lump of spyware and will not go back to it despite its speed.
Chrome without addons is worthless if a user is webmasters.
Just happened on this site by accident when googling chrome add-ons; but “I’ll be back” as some Austrian once said.
I haven’t tried the bookmarklets out yet, but it seems to me that this is how it should be – put the bare bones of a product out and let the users decide on development priorities and provide solutions, even if they are quick and dirty – in thirty years in this business I’ve seen plenty of “quick and dirty” fixes become respectable features and add- ons as time passes. Viva la Revolution!!
Chrome is good but they have not done anything significantly innovative in the field of web browsing just borrowed good features of opera, mozilla and safari (not to mention IE) and came out with CHROME! i had expected much more new and cool features from google geeks. Any ways chrome is cool and i love to use it!!
You can also use Firebug lite with Google Chrome..
http://getfirebug.com/lite.html
this makes me to stick with chrome …Very nice
I am sure google will do some thing and they will provide more features ..
These seem mostly useless as I would have to come to this site to use them. It would be best if they were actual plugins. I still posted a link
hi.. just droppin’ by your site.. it’s really cute… nice work!
ghb20091.cn – free ms word videos tutorial
Great stuff here, making Chrome, Opera, and Safari all a lot easier to use, without space-hogging toolbars Also, see Share This website for another add-on.
This is awesome! I started a post about this too and during the course of my research found this most excellent collection.
Unfortunately, these add-ons aren’t quite as nicely integrated as Firefox add-ons. But hopefully that’ll come…
I like Chrome quite a bit, but just thought I’d point out that Opera was the first to have the drag tabs out and back in feature.
there are so many advantages and features with Chrome, such as it’s speed, for example; now if only they would take care it’s flighty cookie management…
Great Buddy, Let Chrome Rock on
Nice! I may have to give Chrome another chance because of this.
here’s one to add the current page to your del.icio.us bookmarks
javascript:(function(){window.open(‘http://delicious.com/save?v=5&noui&jump=close&url=’+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+’&title=’+encodeURIComponent(document.title), ‘delicious’,'toolbar=no,width=550,height=550′);}())
Nice post…
blogged about it at my blog…
Here’s a bookmarklet for instantly download videos from 123video, crunchyroll(H264), Funny or Die, GoFish, Google Video, Guba, LiveLeak, LiveVideo, MEGAROTIC, MEGAVIDEO, MySpaceTV, Putfile, TUBE8, Tudou, Veoh, Vimeo(H264), Yahoo! Video, YouPorn, and YouTube(H264)
javascript:window.location=’http://freethepenguins.com/v=’+location.href
Just add it as a bookmark and then click it when you are on one of those sites and want to download the video
wechrome.cn/thread-377-1-1.html
Cool. I hope you make something for userstyles too. =p
I loved the post. I think your thinking is nearly matching the great sukrat’s cocept.
Bad is AdBlock don’t remember the block of banners, and every time has to click to Adblock+ link.
Thanks Ricardo, may be that is what we missed
. It is nice to see that I wont have to switch to Firefox now to check if that page has RSS feeds or not.
Thanks for the post man, I absolutely going to switch to chrome.
Feed Viewer for Google Chrome:

very nice information buddy . actually i am in search of this information. and i got it..
thankx buddy…
great find buddy, i would like to add one from my side for tiny url
add this as bookmark location
javascript:void(location.href=’http://tinyurl.com/create.php?url=’+location.href)
stumbled.
That’s one hell of a post.. Covered everything that I need.. Loved it..
That bookmarklet is a joke, real extension for Chrome is needed.
Thanks Sid for making such wonderful post and some kind words. I never though it will take this good shape
.
It’s useful to know that this kind of stuff is out there to add to Chrome. This is very handy.
I think that Chrome is good. I do believe that it can and will get much better in the near future though. I like the look; nice and clean, but man does it freeze up on my notebook! I can’t seem to figure it out. I’m not really even using that many tabs or anything. Firefox can handle much more.
Anyways, you better believe that this browser will grow. This is Googles “operating system,” so they will take some pride in it.
Awesome post and I’ll be back to read some more!
This is cool buddy, definitely useful, stumbled and dugg
I thought at first Chrome is a flop but then I have tried it and I liked it… Thanks for the the post…
