The Apple iPad Against Oranges HP Slate?

By Jim Roberts | Apple

If you have heard about an imminent Features of HP Slate PC tablet and its specifications claimed to contest against the Apple iPad, perhaps you may be one of those who have already shed an opinion about this tablet warfare being set on the two devices.

But if you haven’t given any word about it yet, perhaps you should contemplate first about the real differences between the HP Slates and Apples’ intentional purposes and target market in order to give an insightful opinion.

So much has already been articulated about the Apple iPad being a powerful tool for the business-oriented people.  But there are several business and commercial perfectionists who were quick in denouncing that the iPad cannot be that useful in business purposes. And to back up their perception, these conformists pointed out the specifications of the new HP Slate and consider it the real computing device solely for business functions. There might be a point or two which are applicable but certainly not agreeable for the entirety of the two devices.

Let me illustrate, consider I have two hard bound books on my table, one is about information security while the other only contains blank pages. The two books would appear similar at first glance. However, I am not right nor correct to admit that since the network security book is better since it contains excellent ideas and concepts, because in a different perception the blank book may be better than the first as I can place any content I would wish for it to have. In other words, both books have their own usefulness at varying degree and area which could possibly intersect at a certain point.

If businessmen can use one laptop for handling emails, organizing spreadsheets, documents and presentations, for playing games, listening to music, watching movies and shopping at online stores, so why can’t the iPad be?

The idea here combining all possible business and entertainment applications in one device, no matter what device it is. There is no reason for reproving any device for not being applicable in a certain specialization. After all, manufacturers of electronic devices are trying to incorporate every kind of useful feature in their products for the productivity and amusement of the user. Instead of having to man and attend to different gadgets, the consumers (whether professionals or otherwise) are offered electronic convenience through items like Apple iPad and HP Slate.
